As the FDA approves more drugs, it’s a common practice to make claims about their safety. But that doesn’t happen when it comes to Viagra, which is a prescription drug that is sold only under the brand name Revatio.
The FDA is also considering a number of other drugs that contain nitrates, such as the generic versions of the drug Viagra and Levitra. These products can cause serious side effects, including heart attacks and strokes. And many people who use these drugs experience some degree of bleeding from the stomach or intestines.
This isn’t the only issue with Viagra. While it’s illegal to buy Viagra without a prescription, many people using it to treat their symptoms are turning to it as a means to combat the negative effects of heart disease.
This has led some to consider Viagra’s effectiveness as an early warning sign of a serious heart condition. In 2017, the FDA approved a new drug to treat heart failure in patients over 65 who had recently had an heart attack.
